AIM

This workshop is organized to improve skills of basic science researches who plan to publish their manuscripts in SCI indexed high impact journals.

CONTENT AND LEARNING GOALS

At this two-day instensive writing workshop, young researchers (histologist and embryologists, cell and stem cell science, regenerative medicine researchers) will meet editors and experts in writing and reviewing manuscripts. We have included those who focused wheir careers on research, have available data for reporting, and have the potential to submit a manuscript to SCI indexed journals, yet have limited experience in writing scientific articles. Young researchers will improve their ability to:

    (a) assess the originality of problems
    (b) ascertain the validity/appropriateness of methods,
    (c) determine the originality of data,
    (d) identify the assumptions/limitations of their work,
    (e) review and synthesize the literature,
    (f) improve the clarity of text, tables, graphs and illustrations.

Insight will be given on assessment of

    (a) prior publication of manuscripts,
    (b) conflict of interest,
    (c) ethical standards, and
    (d) statistical evaluation.

Hands-on-work with editors and experts will take place at the workshop.
